I’ve been married for a few years now, but I’d like to think that in the lead up to my wedding I didn’t turn into a Bridezilla and my bridesmaids are still friends with me so that is a good sign!
There is so much pressure on “the perfect day”, especially with the cost of weddings on the rise, that it is no wonder that all involved have a few meltdown moments. Fortunately I haven’t personally experienced many Bridezillas but I have heard of some shockers – and not just brides but bridesmaids, mother in laws and even grooms going a little batty.
This week we are talking about weddings, and the first question is – were you a bridezilla or have you had a negative wedding experience? If you did, is it like being pregnant and your hormones take over and you can’t see your own craziness? Or were you a sweetie pie the whole way through?
On the subject of wedding guest etiquette I have two questions this week – the first one being, do you think it is OK to wear white? I’m going to say don’t do it but maybe that is an old way of thinking?
My second question is, do you think it is offensive if the bride and groom ask for money instead of gifts? I think this is perfectly acceptable but you do need to be polite about it.
What do you think? I want all your hilarious stories…pllleeeeaseee, I’m sleep deprived and could do with a laugh!
What are we going to give away this week? I had so much fun receiving a gift from Gifterati, that this week I’m going to send the winner of this discussion a 30 pack of Ferrero Rocher’s too. Want to win it? Participate by commenting below. The winner will be contacted by email so make sure your address is current. Competition closes 6th December 2011 Midnight AEST. Australian residents only. Check back next Wednesday for a new weekly discussion. You don’t have to have Facebook to win, but if you do it’s much more fun!
